Artificial intelligence (AI) has been the hottest topic this year, with a lot of speculation the technology has the potential to take over many industries.
However, when it comes to Polish translation services, there is no substitute for the real deal, as there is a limit to the quality of machine-based linguistics.
The main reason why people will dismiss AI translations after a while is because they cannot provide the character or depth to conversations that human speakers can.
Townsend Belisle from design and production agency Haystack Needle told Forbes: “The cultural and linguistic nuance added by a native speaker builds trust through audience connection.”
Humans can offer authenticity, relevancy, authority, and accuracy through language, some of which would be lost or misunderstood through AI.
Technology also cannot build relationships, earn trust, provide human insight, answer complex questions, or develop strategies. Though it might have the language skills, it will not offer any further analysis or comprehension that might be required by an interpreter.
Scott Darroh from fishbat Media agreed, saying: “Humans have the ability to read between the lines, understand nuance and context, and make intuitive leaps that machines cannot.”
Although much has been said about the rise in AI, this will generally be in practical tasks, such as data entry and speech recognition.
Although it has the potential for much more, its predominant role in the near future is more likely to be in automating repetitive jobs, handling data analysis, and solving problems.
The intention is to take administrative jobs off employees, so they have more time to focus on being creative and strategic, and providing human intelligence to jobs.
